These chapters were very interesting.  I don't know if I would have been able to stage my own murder and leave all my friends behind.  I think Huck was able to do it because his father had removed him from society already.  In the eighth chapter, I found Jim's dialogue somewhat difficult to read.  Although it was interesting to see how slaves talked during that time.  Huck was very brave when he decided not to turn Jim in.  During the time of slavery, someone could be arrested for not turning a slave in.  So far, chapters seven and eight have been the most interesting.
